Celebrating Cinco de Mayo in Cleveland
Cinco de Mayo is a celebration of the Mexican militias' battle victory in 1862. Like any other cultures historical monumental moments, we tend to embrace it and take the opportunity to have some great food, drinks and party.
There are many places around the Cleveland area that will be offering specials for Cinco de Mayo (examples include GIANT margaritas with meals).

If you’re down there, swing by West Tenth (east bank of the Flats) from 5:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. Tequila Fest will be happening at Lago Outside Veranda. Visit https://tequilafestcleveland.com/ to get a countdown of the festivities, buy tickets and read up on what’s offered.

At the Toledo Zoo they are having a Cinco de Mayo Celebration on Sunday May 6th from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. in the Main Plaza. This event is free with regular admissions and activities for the day can be found at https://www.toledozoo.org/cinco-de-mayo
Barroco, a Latin restaurant in Cleveland is having Son Gitano Live event with $5 margaritas and no cover charge. Starts at 7:00 p.m., go check it out!
